Horseback Riding Lessons

.1-3 Hour Private or Small Group Lessons

Erika will meet each rider at their individual level. Improve your seat and refine your aids while mastering maneuvers ranging from basic to advanced, including transitions, departures, turnarounds (spins), sliding stops, lead changes, and flag work for cattle practice. Additionally, focus on overcoming trail obstacles and preparing for shows.

1-3 Day Western Performance Horsemanship Clinics

Elevate your riding and deepen your partnership with your horse as Erika imparts the foundational principles and techniques essential for Ranch Versatility, Reining, and Working Cowhorse. Participants will enhance and hone their skills across various dry work maneuvers, including guiding and body control, speed and gait transitions, lead changes, spins, stops, and navigating trail obstacles such as bridges, gates, log drags, and backing patterns.

Private or Small Group Coaching utilizing ground games and challenges with horses

Equine-assisted coaching fosters personal growth and emotional healing through connection with horses. Engaging with these animals aids in developing trust, communication skills, and self-awareness, as they respond authentically to our emotions. This reflective environment allows participants to explore challenges and aspirations safely, leading to clarity and empowerment. Its experiential nature provides insights that surpass traditional methods, making it a valuable resource for enhancing personal and professional journeys.

About Erika

Erika was born and raised in the heart of the Colorado Rockies on her family's dude ranch, Wilderness Trails Ranch, near Durango.  Her first word was HORSE.  Erika works in the horse industry as a trainer, a coach, a mentor, and a competitor.  At 7 she won a National Championship, and in 2014, she claimed a World Championship.
